I believe my review of the Saxx Vibe boxer brief’s is a first for snow.guide as we have never reviewed underwear before!
When it comes to underwear I usually just look out for the multi-buy bargains in somewhere like TK Maxx, not even entertaining a pair with a price tag of over £20.
So when I met the UK representative of Saxx at the Telegraph ski and snowboard show, I was intrigued on what made Saxx underwear so special to warrant such a high price tag.
Also, when it comes to skiing or snowboarding you need to feel as comfortable as you possibly can. We spend a small fortune on ski clothing but have little thought on underwear, which if you think about it, is just as important.
I chose to review a Sax Vibe Artic Camo boxer brief. The first thing I noticed was how soft on touch they are. The Vibe is actually made from a breathable viscose fabric that is designed to hug the skin.
Trying them on they are unbelievably comfortable. These boxer briefs seem seamless as Saxx keep seams on the outside away from the skin to avoid chafing.
Another great feature is the Ballpark Pouch. Designed to be a contact free support, it is like a soft hammock that keeps everything in place! It sounds like a gimmick but it works well by keeping everything in check and eliminates chaffing.
The Sax Vibe is designed to be close fitting and snug but they do not feel restrictive in anyway. The attention to detail of the shaping is immaculate and the modern styling fits and supports in all the right places.
The material is moisture-wicking which is obviously ideal for skiing or snowboarding and can be used in conjunction with base layers.
I also love the Saxx Vibe Artic Camo print styling. If it is not for you, then they do have a huge array of modern print styles.
So, are they worth the price tag? You bet they are! Go treat yourself. Every man deserves at least one pair of Sax underwear in their pants draw!
