Chatham Maguire II Walking Boots Review

Aesthetically, the Chatham Maguire II brown boots are rich in colour and look sophisticated.  They are good for walking around a ski resort in snow during the day, but look great when wearing out to the bars in the evening.  In other words, the brown boots look more 'out, out' than the tan suede ones do.

Forcefield Slam 1 Shorts Review – Snowboard Protection Shorts

I was interested in reviewing the Forcefield Slam 1 protection shorts as I reviewed the original Forcefield Slam impact shorts last season and was mightily impressed. So what is different about the Forcefield Slam 1 shorts apart from a new royal blue colour? Read the review and find out why these are even better!

DC Peary Winter Boots Review

Designed for those harsh winter days, this is a review of the DC Peary winter boots. When travelling on a ski or snowboard trip, footwear to wear around the resort is hardly ever taken into consideration. You need boots that will keep you warm, comfortable and dry, as well as look good.

Helly Hansen Balder Glove Review

The Helly Hansen Balder Glove is as quality as it looks.  The merino wool kept my hands warm at all times and the soft goat skin leather is beautiful to touch.

Dainese Ski Clothing Review

Snow.Guide decided to test a range of Dainese ski clothing – the Italian company, founded in 1972 is known for its motorsports protective clothing. Their clothing range is now extensive, with a focus on high end, technical gear that looks stylish and smart.

Cheap Ski Socks – Decathlon Wed’ze Ski Socks Review

Decathlon Wed’ze ski socks are only £3.99! But how good are they?  In this review Mark Barber finds out. Budget ski socks used to mean ill-fitting tube socks that were neither comfortable or practical.  I have also had some truly awful but expensive ski socks in the past with the heels badly designed and itchy.

Helly Hansen Pointnorth Ski Jacket Review

The Helly Hansen Pointnorth ski jacket is a freeride inspired puffa jacket with urban styling that will keep you warm on the slopes - what's not to like? Read the review by Mark Barber.

Helly Hansen Icon Ski Jacket Review

The Helly Hansen Icon Ski jacket retails at £700 and is a top of the range ski jacket for the brand.  In comparison, Helly Hansen is to skiing what Aston Martin is to cars.  And like an Aston Martin Vantage, the Icon ski jacket is beautifully understated but packed with features under the bonnet.

The Snow.Guide is a snowsports website by Robert Stewart, qualified ISIA ski instructor and ski journalist and snowboard editor Mark Barber.
