Helly Hansen Ski Clothing Collection for Toddlers Review

Helly Hansen Ski Clothing Collection for Toddlers Review

This review of Helly Hansen ski clothing collection for toddlers was carried out on a wonderful family ski holiday to Val d’Isere with my 2 year old daughter. The conditions were a mix between sunny but chilly days with the odd snowy day thrown in.

My daughter had not seen snow before so we spent time getting her used to the white stuff as well as wearing all the gear. She had her own skis and experienced the motion of skiing with my wife holding her in between her legs as she skied on a gentle slope at the bottom of the resort.

Val d’Isere has a fantastic area for beginners and children at the base of the resort. It is easily accessible by foot and even has a couple of free ski lifts for the baby slopes.

Helly Hansen Kids’ Vertical Insulated Ski Jacket Review

Everyone, including my daughter loved this jacket. Even before the trip the Vertical insulated ski jacket was the jacket of choice for trips out to the park and even nursery. And it being Helly Hansen it was not only warm but stylish. Also, being Helly Hansen it is not cheap! But, in my view worth the investment as you are paying for quality.

The Helly Hansen Kids’ Vertical Insulated Ski Jacket is absolutely ideal for tiny tots as it is easy to slip on and zip up. We were confident at all times that she was warm and dry even when walking around the resort in snowy conditions. Especially as the jacket zipped up over her chin to protect her from the harsh weather.

The adjustable cuffs proved handy, especially when dealing with the challenge of getting mittens on her tiny hands. Believe me, not an easy task on a toddler!

Despite its insulation, the jacket maintains a sleek look and fits nicely over her tops. The ‘Deep Dive’ colour scheme ( a combination block design of deep blue and burnt orange) we chose turned out to be a crowd-pleaser, drawing compliments whenever she wore it.

The detachable hood is well-designed for toddlers, being spacious enough to fit over a beanie hat without obscuring the face. Additionally, the jacket features a lift pass pocket and a powder skirt, although witnessing a toddler tackling powder would be quite the spectacle!

Helly Hansen Kids’ Rider 2 Insulated Ski Bib Review

My daughter’s affection for the Rider 2 Insulated Ski Bib was evident even before the trip, as she insisted on wearing it around the house. Stylish and cute in the chosen ‘Deep Dive’ color scheme, the bib proved true to size (92/2) for our little one.

The bib was easy to put on with adjustable straps, elasticated sides, and extendable leg length—features that promise utility beyond a single ski season. It excelled in the basics, keeping her warm, breathable, and highly waterproof. This durability is crucial with toddlers prone to play in the snow rather than focus on skiing. Overall, a fantastic piece of gear!

Kids’ HH LIFA® Merino Base Layer Set Review

Helly Hansen Kids' HH LIFA® Merino Base Layer Set reviewed by Snow Guide

Helly Hansen claims their Kids’ HH LIFA® Merino Base Layer Set is the best in the market, and I can’t disagree. The Lifa® technology and Merino wool blend result in beautifully soft, warm, comfortable, and breathable top and trouser base layers. The addition of fleece reinforcement fabric on the knees and elbows is a thoughtful touch for toddlers.

We opted for the lovely Wisteria Pu color range in size 92/2, fitting our daughter nicely.
