Howies Penn Merino Boxers Review

At we are always on the lookout for British independent brands, and were delighted to come across Howies from West Wales.

Howies specialise in Merino wool base layers as well as underwear, and this is a review of the Howies Penn Merino Boxers range.

Merino wool is naturally antibacterial and odour resistant, which is handy for a long day on the slopes!  I also found these boxers to be very soft on touch and comfortable to wear.  Being 100% merino wool they were not itchy in any way.

The cut is snug without being too tight.  The elastic waistband keeps the boxers in place without fear of cutting off the blood circulation!

I am sure you are aware of the warmth properties of Merino wool as the majority of base layers are made from it now days.  So on those cold days in the mountain, it does make sense to complete the setup with Merino wool boxer shorts.

The Howies Penn Merino Boxers certainly kept me warm, but they were also temperature regulating so at no time did I ever feel too hot.

Overall I think the Howies Penn Merino Boxers are worth the £29 price tag and a good investment for any ski and snowboard trip.
