DC Peary Winter Boots

DC Peary Winter Boots Review

Designed for those harsh winter days, this is a review of the DC Peary winter boots.

After reviewing the Helly Hansen Gataga Prime Boots this season, I was very interested to see what the DC Peary winter boots had to offer.

When travelling on a ski or snowboard trip, footwear to wear around the resort is hardly ever taken into consideration.  The amount of times I see people walking back from a bar wearing trainers, either slipping all over the place on ice, or getting their feet wet and cold in snow.  Temperatures can plummet while in a resort and you need to have something warm and weatherproof on your feet.

The DC Peary winter boots are certainly warm.  In fact, I would go as far as saying they are the warmest boots I have ever worn!  They would be a must for anyone who suffers from cold feet.  For me, they were fantastic at keeping my feet warm while outside, but a bit too toasty for being inside (e.g. sitting in an apres bar).  Having said that, I am someone who is hardly ever cold and I am sure the majority would relish the warmth of the boots, even when inside.

The boots have good sturdy rubber soles that prevented me slipping over on ice many times!  The heavy duty leather construction of the boot is waterproof so ideal for walking in the snow.

The Styling…

I really like the styling of the DC Peary boot.  It looks rugged and hard wearing, but has that typical DC understated urban street look.

The boots are easy enough to get on and off.  Although, I am not too keen on the fast lace system at the top.  I found it a little too fiddly when in a rush, but can see the benefits on how it completely free the top section when removing the boots or putting them on

All in all, I was impressed with the DC Peary boots and they are ideally suited for resort use as they will certainly keep your feet warm and dry. Not only are they practical and comfortable, but they look good and would not look out of place when going ‘out out’!
