Edmond Plawczyk breaks World Snowboard Speed Record

Edmond Plawczyk set a new World snowboard speed record reaching a staggering top speed of 203.275Kph (126.309mph)

In Vars last week, Edmond Plawczyk set a new World snowboard speed record reaching a staggering top speed of 203.275Kph (126.309mph).

With go-fast velcro fastened wind fins attached to his legs, and an outfit that looks like it from the set of a strange Sadomasochism parody version of the Empire Strikes Back, the Frenchman beat the previous world record of 202Kph set by Darren Powell back in 1999.

This was a fantastic achievement considering it has taken 16 years to beat Powell’s original record!

The British snowboard speed record is 151.60 Kph, set by Jamie Barrow.
