If you’re already dreaming about the first turns of the 2026/27 ski season, there are plenty of opportunities to get your skiing fix before the lifts open.
This autumn and early winter sees a strong selection of ski and snowboard films heading to cinemas, ski centres and mountain festivals across the UK, from major productions featuring some of the world’s best freeskiers and snowboarders to independent mountain films and classic outdoor film tours.

Which Ski Film Should You See?
There is a surprisingly good choice of ski cinema across the UK this autumn.
For big-mountain skiing and freeride, The Way Out and We Can’t Not are the obvious choices, with both featuring spectacular footage from Alaska and some of the world’s best skiers.
For the classic ski-film experience, Warren Miller’s Days Off offers one of the biggest UK tours, with screenings from Edinburgh and Glasgow to London, Bristol, Leeds and Oxford.
And if you’d prefer a broader mountain-film evening, both Kendal Mountain Festival and Mountains on Stage offer a mixture of skiing and other adventure films.
With the 2026/27 ski season approaching, there’s no shortage of ways to get your ski fix before you even reach the mountains.
